Match report Albion Eagles vs Green Island Rats. It doesn't get any bigger when it comes to Dunedin club cricket. With the Vic Crimp Trophy on the line and massive bragging rights, both teams were fizzing at the bung to come out on top.
Albion captain Shaun Haig won the toss and jumped at the chance to bat first.
The Eagles batting line up dominated the Rats bowling attack with Jamie Glenn and Nick Beard both bringing up half centuries and Mar Craig, Neil Wagner, Ollie Newton and Blair Brown all chimed in with quickfire 30s and 40s to reach a massive total of 311. Hamish Rutherford was the pick of the Green Island bowlers however it was noticed that his run up was similar to that of a kuni kuni pig running to the trough.
In reply the Rats never really got going with Volt killer Ollie Newton removing Rutherford, Cumming and Sheed cheaply. Newton finished with figures of 3 for 20 off his 7 overs to claim 'The Lucky 7 Man Of The Match Gift Voucher'. All the Albion bowlers bowled well to dismiss the Rats for 177 and claim the bonus point win.

In other news the Normals beat the Curly Wurlies to square up the ETRL (Eagles Touch Rugby League) series 1 all!
